The Mekkitess history
Mekkitess was founded in 1977, launched by the Verrini brothers - Fabrizio, Carlo and Gabriele - in Carpi, an area destined to become one of Italy’s major textile districts. Guided by the brothers' inspiration and technical expertise, the company starts growing and continuously improves the quality of its fabrics and service. During the '80s another brother, Marcello, joins the family business and Mekkitess launches the first of many collections.
At the beginning of the millennium Mekkitess widens its horizons, initiating collaborations with the most important Italian and international fashion names and exhibiting at the top trade fairs. Today, a vibrant future for Mekkitess is already underway with the entrance of Vita, Simone, Filippo and Elena, the second generation of Verrinis.
